Overview
Back from a two year break the International Echo Awards is offering a unique opportunity to become a founding member of the new ECHO Board of Governors.
Board of Governors Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Guide the Echo Awards towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance, as well as ensuring the Awards have adequate resources to advance the ECHO mission.
Governance
Ensure the Awards operate with transparency and integrity, setting clear objectives and benchmarks for success. Oversee the Award’s policies and procedures to comply with regulatory standards.
Advocacy and Ambassadorship
Serve as a champion for the Echo Awards, advocating for its values, mission, and importance in the global marketing community. Engage with industry leaders, stakeholders, and the media to elevate the profile and reputation of the Awards.
Judging Excellence
Play a pivotal role in the outlining and curating judges and processes, ensuring it remains rigorous, diverse, fair, and reflective of the Award’s commitment to innovation and excellence in marketing.
Program Development
Provide insight and oversight into the development of Awards programs, categories, and criteria that reflect the evolving landscape of marketing, data technology and innovation.
Networking and Community Building
Foster a sense of community and collaboration among Echo Award participants, judges, and stakeholders. Leverage your network to enhance the prestige and reach of the Awards.
Feedback and Continuous Improvement
Regularly review Award processes and outcomes, providing constructive feedback aimed at continuous improvement and innovation in how the Awards operate and serve the marketing community.
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
Ensure the Awards celebrate and encourage diversity and inclusion, recognizing the richness that different perspectives bring.
Expectations of Board of Governors
Contribution and Engagement
Within the first six months of service, each board member is expected to contribute a minimum of u$s1,500. This contribution can be met through:
- A direct monetary contribution to the Echo Awards.
- Driving entries into the Echo Awards, with the value of entries attributed towards the contribution total.
- Raising sponsorship for the Echo Awards, with the sponsorship amount contributing towards the u$s1,500 expectation.
Availability and Engagement
Board members are expected to participate in at least four board meetings throughout the year to ensure strategic alignment and effective governance. Failure to participate to this extent may lead to suspension of Board Membership.
